An applicator directs radial shock waves above the pain area deep into the tissue where they spread radially (ball-shaped). This stimulates higher metabolism activity in the treated area and speeds up the natural recovery processes. In addition, tissue structures are relaxed; the pain sensation transmission is interrupted.
Treatment consists of three sessions (7-10 minutes each). Patients feel a considerable lessening of pain as early as eight to ten days after the first treatment. Currently, radial shock wave therapy is used to treat the following:
Radial shock wave therapy works without x-rays and medication, stimulates the body self-healing capacities and often helps prevent surgical treatment.
