In some cases, reattachment of the injured meniscus is possible. It is always strived for this kind of repair of the partially detached meniscal tissue because it allows for restoration of the original anatomy. The latest development for this procedure are resorbable anchors, which are shot into the mensical tissue with a pistol-like device and result in simple, quick and firm anchorage of the injured meniscus.
