According to TCM or traditional Chinese medicine, diseases develop from an interruption in the harmonious flow of vital energy, Qi. Such interruptions can be triggered by external factors (draft, cold, wetness, heat) or by internal factors (emotions such as anger, sorrow, fear and worries). In Chinese medicine, emotions are assigned to specific body regions, for example, anger to the liver and gallbladder or fear to the bladder and kidney.
Interruptions in the flow of vital energy can be treated with acupuncture; however, for lack of energy, a treatment with medicinal products and a change in diet is much more effective.
